The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has extended the trading hours for interest rate derivatives until 5 pm, effective from February 23. This change only applies to contracts with February expiry. The trading time for other interest rate derivative contracts has not been extended. Currently, the trading hours for these contracts on the stock exchange are from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. The NSE has issued a circular providing this information and stated that the purpose of this step is to align the underlying market with time. The timeline extension framework was prepared by the market regulator, SEBI, in 2018. Therefore, all existing contracts expiring after February 23, 2023, and all new contracts introduced after that date will have trading available until 5 pm on their expiry day.
देश के सबसे बड़े स्टॉक एक्सचेंज ‘नेशनल स्टॉक एक्सचेंज’ (NSE) ने इंटरेस्ट रेट डेरिवेटिव्स के लिए कारोबार का समय बढ़ाकर शाम 5 बजे तक कर दिया है. यह नया बदलाव 23 फरवरी से लागू होगा. NSE ने एक सर्कुलर में इसकी जानकारी दी. NSE ने कहा कि उसके इस कदम का मकसद अंडरलाइंग मार्केट को समय के साथ मिलाना है. टाइमिंग बढ़ाने की रूपरेखा बाजार नियामक सेबी (SEBI) ने साल 2018 में तैयार की थी. अभी स्टॉक एक्सचेंज पर इन कॉन्ट्रैक्ट्स के कारोबार का समय सुबह 9 बजे से शाम साढ़े 3 बजे तक है.
एनएसई ने कहा कि फरवरी एक्सपायरी वाले इंटरेस्ट रेट डेरिवेटिव्स के कॉन्ट्रैक्ट अब 23 फरवरी से शाम 5 बजे तक ट्रेडिंग के लिए उपलब्ध रहेंगे. इसके अलावा किसी दूसरे इंटरेस्ट रेट डेरिवेटिव्स वाले कॉन्ट्रैक्ट का ट्रेडिंग टाइम नहीं बढ़ाया गया है. यानी 23 फरवरी 2023 के बाद एक्सपायर होने वाले सभी मौजूदा कॉन्ट्रैक्ट और उसके बाद पेश किए गए सभी नए कॉन्ट्रैक्ट भी एक्सपायरी के दिन शाम 5 बजे तक ट्रेडिंग के लिए उपलब्ध रहेंगे.
